Neoprene or Polychloroprene is a group of synthetic rubbers which
exhibit excellent chemical
constancy and maintain flexibility over a wide temperature range.
Neoprene can be used in
a wide selection of applications, such as laptop sleeves,
orthopedic braces, electrical insulation,
liquid, and sheet applied elastomeric membranes or flashings, and
automotive fan belts. Its
chemical inertness makes it well suitable for industrial
applications such as gaskets, hoses, and
corrosion-resistant coatings.
